Research on Fiona Hall's "paper wasp nest"

Well, strange, before researching, I thought its bottom part was just a strange looking base, however, surprisingly, it's a kinda nest of some strange bees -- paper wasp nest ...

This piece is made of polymer resin, I read this information from the internet. I think the reason she uses this material is: she wanted to imitate the liquid and smooth feeling of the brain and the rough and solid texture of the hive. So, after all, the polymer resin became the best choice -- it has a pretty good convertibility. With the nature of the polymer resin, all the rest work was to add some chemical component to make the resin colourful and put the mixture into the modules. I guess that was what she'd done.
